Supported by Wokingham Without and Crowthorne Parish Councils.
 
COMMUNITY AWARDS
 
OBJECTIVE:- to give public recognition to individuals who have contributed significantly to the quality of life in the Parishes of Crowthorne and/or Wokingham Without by virtue of public/community activity. A Special Award may be given in each year to a group or organisation established in the area of the Parishes, for service to the community.
 
NUMBER OF AWARDS IN EACH YEAR:- Other than Special Awards, not more than 8 awards may be made at any one time (four Crowthorne and four Wokingham Without nominations).  Special Awards are limited to one in each year nominated by the representatives of the Parish responsible for the presentation in that year and approved by the representatives of the other Parish.
 
FORM OF AWARD:- Each Award will consist of a framed citation suitably inscribed with the coat of arms or seals of both Parish Councils, and will be recorded in a Register of Honour to be maintained in duplicate by the Parish Councils.
 
NOMINATIONS:- any member of the public who is a registered elector in Wokingham Without or Crowthorne may submit one or more nominations to the Parish Councils by a date to be advertised each year.
 
FORM OF NOMINATION:- Nominations must be in writing with the name and address of and signed by the person making the nomination. Nominations should include the reason or reasons for nomination.
 
SELECTION:- The Parish councils will make joint decisions on Awards following the closing date for nominations in each year.
